From a visual point of view, the Peugeot 308 GT sets itself apart with its unique and exciting exterior features, including:

  • A new grille with a three-blade design and the Peugeot Lion prominently displayed.
  • Advanced headlights containing 62 separate LED elements, as well as arced LED daytime lights to enhance the visual aesthetics.
  • The lower bumper section has greater air intake, including generous cooling apertures on each side.
  • The Peugeot 308 GT also features gloss black exterior mirrors and dark-tinted windows.
  • Low-profile Michelin Pilot Sport 3 tyres with 18-inch alloy wheels and its stylised exhaust tailpipes further emphasise the “GT Spirit”

The interior of the GT sets itself apart with its sporty exclusive theme, featuring:

  • Roof lining and B-pillar trim with anthracite colour scheme, while the bucket seats come with leather bolsters with Alcantara inserts and red stitching.
  • The same red stitching creates a contrasting highlight on the door panels, gear lever gaiter and the leather-trimmed steering wheel.
  • Aluminium-trimmed pedals and stainless steel sill finishers add to the cabin’s dynamic ambience.
  • Exclusive to the GT is a chequered flag-inspired background for the instrument panel as well as a new red-and-black colour scheme known as “Redline”.

Taking a look under the hood the Peugeot 308 GT packs a 1.6 THP four-cylinder engine. This 1598cc high-pressure turbocharged unit has a maximum output of 151 kW at 6000 RPM. Torque of 285 Nm reached at only 1750 RPM. With an overall power-to-weight ratio of 125.83 kW/ton.

Reaching a top speed of 235 km/h and 0-100 km/h in 7.5 seconds, it still manages to be achieve a fuel consumption of just 5.6 litres/100km.

The Peugeot 308 GT reaches South African showroom floors in limited quantities this month. The recommended retail price is R369 900 which includes a three-year / 100 000 warranty, and a five-year/100 000 km full Premium Maintenance Plan.
