When Mary McCormack took to Twitter last week it wasn’t to address anything political or to comment on the current situation in America. It turns out that her husband’s Tesla caught fire while in traffic. She included a video of the electric car and described it as an incident that happened ‘out of the blue’ – read on to see more.
What was the source of the problem?
No word from them.

Two days later she shared an update saying that they’re currently working with Tesla to establish the cause of the fire.
We are very aware of the seriousness of the situation, and we're just very lucky that our children weren’t in the car. We’re in discussion with Tesla to find out what happened, and we’d like to give them time to come back to us before making a further comment. @Tesla

@Tesla This is what happened to my husband and his car today. No accident, out of the blue, in traffic on Santa Monica Blvd. Thank you to the kind couple who flagged him down and told him to pull over. And thank god my three little girls weren’t in the car with him pic.twitter.com/O4tPs5ftVo
